How to Use the Interactive Tools

👩‍🏫

Teachers

Project a tool in full-screen mode to demonstrate concepts and drive whole-class discussion. Manipulate objects in real time so students can see exactly what is changing — and why.

Tip: Pause to ask “What do you notice? What do you wonder?” before revealing the next change.

📚

Students

Click, drag and explore. Test your hunches and see what happens. The tools let you try things out without worrying about getting an answer wrong — every attempt is a chance to learn.

Tip: If a result surprises you, that’s a great moment — try to explain why it happened.

👨‍👩‍👧

Parents

Sit alongside your child and explore a tool together. You don’t need to know the maths — the tool does the teaching, and your job is to share in the noticing and the wondering.

Tip: Take turns making predictions before clicking — it’s surprising how often you’ll both be wrong, and that’s where the maths happens.

🧮

Manipulatives

10-frames, Dienes blocks, Numicon, coins, dice and more to investigate place value and number relationships.

🔴

Place Value Counters

Drag counters into place value columns to build and partition numbers. Exchange between columns to explore regrouping.

🏛️

Place Value Columns

Multiply, divide, add and subtract while watching digits shift through place value columns. See expanded form in real time.

↔️

Addition & Subtraction Number Line

Watch addition and subtraction come alive as animated jumps along a number line. Bridge through zero with directed numbers.

🚶

Multiplication Number Line

Use the walking method to multiply on a number line — face a direction, then walk forward or backward to see why negative × negative = positive.

🔢

Number Grid Explorer

Shade multiples, primes, squares and triangular numbers on a fully customisable grid. Change rows, columns, start and step to reveal patterns.

✖️

Multiplication Grid

Highlight times tables, spot the diagonal of square numbers, find prime products and explore patterns across the multiplication grid.

💯

Fraction, Decimal, Percentage Grid

Shade cells on interactive 100-square grids to explore fractions, decimals and percentages, and how they connect.

💥

Number Smash

Combine any two numbers and add, subtract, multiply and divide. Can you make the target numbers?

🧩

Factor & Multiple Tiles

Split any number into factor pairs, decompose into a product of prime factors, or find the first 5 multiples.

🍕

Fraction Tiles

Investigate fraction equivalence, addition and subtraction with colourful, draggable fraction tiles.

🧱

Fraction Wall

Select fractions to see equivalences, toggle decimals and percentages, compare and add fractions, and reorder rows.

📊

Fraction Bars

Investigate the addition and subtraction of fractions with splittable fraction bars — ideal for bar modelling.

🔄

Double-Sided Counters

Flip counters between positive and negative to model integers, create zero pairs, and explore directed number operations.

📐

Geoboard

Investigate shapes, angles, area and perimeter on a variety of Geoboards — square grid, isometric, coordinate and more.

🎲

Probability Tools

Run probability experiments with coins, dice, spinners and bags. Track convergence, compare snapshots and explore sample spaces.

I’m adding new tools throughout 2026 — keep checking back for more! 🚀
