How to Use Number Chains
👩🏫
Teachers
Project a chain in Full Screen as a lesson starter — reveal operations one at a time and ask students to hold up mini-whiteboards. Use the Auto Timer for pace. Review mode shows intermediate answers for whole-class discussion.
Tip: Use 5 steps for a quick warm-up, 15 for a meaty task. Print worksheets for homework.
📚
Students
Pick a level that challenges you but doesn’t overwhelm. Use Click to Advance so you can take your time. If you get it wrong, hit Review Steps to find exactly where you went off track.
Tip: Start with 5 steps, build to 10, then try ⏱ Challenge mode. Can you reach Legend?
👨👩👧
Parents
Start your child on Level 1 with 5 steps and let them progress at their own pace. Sit alongside and talk through each step — “What’s 8 doubled?” builds mathematical thinking.
Tip: Increase steps before moving up a level. Print worksheets for screen-free practice.
