World Cup fever is approaching (although I am sensing a little less optimism about England’s chances than normal). What better way to celebrate this momentous occasion than to introduce a lovely but of maths into the proceedings! 🙂
One of my favourite TES Maths Uploaders, Daniel Burke, has put together this wonderful set of activities based around the World Cup. Students’ knowledge of averages, percentages and crucially experimental probability, will be tested and applied in a fun and engaging setting. There are plenty of opportunities to adapt this task to suit the age and ability of your students, from lower achieving Year 7 students, right up to older Key Stage 4 students who might want a taste of A Level Statistics. This truly is a wonderful piece of work that I cannot wait to launch after half term!
Thank you for sharing!
