Core 3 is a notoriously tricky module for A Level maths students. The maths is undoubtedly more complicated and in depth than that experienced in Core 1 and 2, and there is perhaps less of the nice applications that follow in Core 4. It can also be tricky to teach, especially if doing it for the first time. If only there were a set of well thought out lesson materials to get you started…
Step forward Owen134866, who has incredibly generously shared his complete set of Core 3 PowerPoints. These are really nicely laid out with clear explanations and examples. I will be using these as a basis to my lessons, adding in my own slides, and linking to things like Autograph demonstrations and web applets. I think I will also pass these on to my students as a source of good, solid notes for their revision.
And if that wasn’t enough, Owen also has a set of Core 4, Mechanics 1 and Statistics 1PowerPoints!
Thank you Owen, for making my life a whole lot easier!
