Each day I select one of my favourite free maths resources that have been uploaded and shared by the generous and incredibly talented users of the TES Maths website and tweet it out via @TESmaths. I call this feature Resource of the Day (ROTD).
Here is a summary of the previous fortnight.

Monday: this straight line graphs card sort is ideal to be stuck in students’ books
Tuesday: dust away those summer cobwebs with a challenging cross-number puzzle!
Wednesday: get students discussing Circles with this lovely quiz-quiz trade activity
Thursday: a well-planned lesson on fractions of an amount
Friday: a set of 5 minute mental starter activities (with answers!)
Saturday: combines compound shapes and algebra for a challenging higher GCSE lesson
Sunday: examples and worksheets using the bar method for solving linear equations
Monday: a lovely structured worksheet for using the quadratic formula
Tuesday: a set of really useful “What Went Well” bookmarks for peer assessment
Wednesday: an excellent lesson on the often painful subject of upper & lower bounds
Thursday: a challenging rich matching activity using square and cube numbers
Friday: investigate direct proportion with a graphical approach
Saturday: “Number of the Day” is ideal for younger students, with lots of potential for adaptation
Sunday: “110 years on” is an interesting problem with lots of teacher support
