It is the time of year where Year 11s and Year 13s have (finally!) gone, and end of year assessments are just about done and dusted. Therefore, you may be looking to do something a bit different in your lessons – an interesting project, perhaps, to get the students working together, being challenged, and really enjoying their mathematics. Well, look no further, as I have just the resource for you!
The Code Breaking Pack by Andrew Chambers is a phenomenal resource. There are lesson plans, links to videos, background information, and enough lesson materials to keep you and your students solving codes for a couple of weeks! And one they are code-breaking masters, they can test out their skills on two wonderfully devious murder mysteries.
Andrew has also written a companion piece to this resource on the TES Maths Blog
